my sweet firstborn turned six on march 25th. he started the celebration with our traditional cupcake-for-breakfast. ;) yeah, mother of the year right here. you're jealous.don't be fooled too much, his sister really just wanted his cupcake and to be in the shot. she wasn't all too thrilled that it was brother's birthday and NOT hers.

aw! its really hard to believe six years have gone by!

and, c'mon! LOOOOOOK at those eyes. break a mother's heart, why dontcha?
we did something new this year and didn't have a family party. instead, jameson invited some friends from his kindergarten class over. it was quite the dilemma really. first he wanted to invite EVERYONE from his class...except ONE girl. "but, mom! i don't want to invite agnes*, she's MEAN!" (*name changed to protect the innocent.) so, i told him he could invite all the boys. i mean, there are TEN boys in his class (not including him). his birthday happened to fall on a friday. the friday when the school had a half day scheduled because it was the beginning of spring break. i thought SURELY, at least half of the boy's families would be getting ready to head out of town. we'll end up with maybe 4 or 5 kids. right?? right????? nope. SEVEN of them showed. SEVEN. i know. i'm very glad he had a nice turn out for his party. i really am. but, seriously. have you ever had SEVEN additional BOYS WHO ARE SIX to your house!? aye. he had a great time though. and, i hope the boys did too. we had pizza, cake, presents, play...
here's the gang. from top left-back row: brandon, nolan, damian, jack. front row: griffin, jameson, grady, and nathan. cute kids. cute, ENERGETIC kids. ;)
opening gifts. notice a long haired freaky person in the center of the action? yeah, natalia was NOT at all intimidated by the fact that she was the only girl in the mix.
singing! :D i'm so glad jameson had a nice party. he has yet to write the darn thank you notes, however. ok...there goes the mother-of-the-year award. :p
