jamesonisms

jameson's vocabulary is literally exploding. thankfully! he's come up with some pretty cute stuff lately.

his favorite is, "eat a bobbbbbaaaaay" aka - eat spongebob mac n cheese. the kid lives on this stuff. little does he know there's nutrition mixed in a la acorn squash, pureed carrot or cauliflower, etc. but, we hear, "eat a bobbaaaay" at least twice per day.

the other morning i gave natalia some tylenol for teething... i may have mentioned to jim, "she might not feel well". so, later that evening, jameson and i are watching spongebob - see above - and suddenly he says, "eh-heh, eh-heh. sick. me-he-hin?" his best attempt to fake cough, tell me he's "sick" and that he needs medicine. wow, where'd that come from?

jim likes to wrestle with the kids a lot. and, he jokes that he's going to do the same with me, but he says, "jameson, i'm going to beat mommy up!" he gets a gaggle of giggles, so he keeps saying it. yesterday, without prompting, jameson says, "daddy, beat mommy up!" nice.

each of the past two years, we've taken pictures of jameson in the fall leaves. the trees aren't exactly cooperating this year, so i snapped some with the little pumpkins we have...

someone please tell me how they grow so fast?!

omg. she's one tomorrow. when the heck did that happen? she's so sassy already, she's going to send me to an early grave, you watch.

and, she's WALKING! very wobbly, but it's walking. she's also "talking"...she says "hi", "mama", "dada", "kitty", "uh-oh" (one of my favorites), "ni-ni" (night, night). today, i asked her to say, "car"...and...she did. so cute, but eeeeesh. she's going to beat her brother to oblivion with her words soon! :)

snot

when you're about to become a parent, no one tells you about colds...and all of the snot that comes with them. snot. snot. snot. everywhere. also, no one tells you how proud you are when your toddler can actually "blow" the snot on command. i'm so happy that jameson can get some relief from the colony of boogers in his nose when i ask him to blow as i hold at least 3 layers of tissue on his nose. man...that noise nearly gags me everytime. and, i'm not one of those wussie mommies who can't handle the gross things.

natalia on the other hand...her just drips and runs. it's really fun when she rubs her nose and mashes the snot into her ears, clothes, hair - as well as mine.

whoops, i guess it's been awhile! so much for keeping regular posts! :)

natalia will now be 11 months on monday! eek. she thinks she's hot stuff when she climbs the stairs. and, she's saying "kitty"!!! she also nods her head, "yes"...although it looks more like she's trying to implant her chin into her chest. cute, though...and she's proud of herself. she's still a drama queen - that's not to be forgotten. but, she's becoming one with quite the personality.

jameson is having what seems to be a vocabulary/speech breakthrough - finally. he's verbalizing more and finally putting words together for sentences. albeit, 2-3 word ones. his lastest obsession is mickey mouse - of all things. mickey mouse clubhouse from playhouse disney to be exact. oh, the joys of cable tv. he asks for "mim-mee" each morning...and a few times during the day. i bought a dvd - paid $20 for it - far too much, but sooooooooooooo worth it! :)
