these two...

well, for one, i'm going to turn down the offer for jameson to turn 3 in just 7 weeks. "no, thank you, i'll pass...we'll do it next year." or, maybe in 6 months or so. maybe then i'll be ready for him to officially be a year older? i can't believe he's THREE. i'm sure that every birthday from here on out i'll say the same thing. they aren't lyin' when they say how they get big so fast. i am excited though to watch him learn and do new things. i can't wait for summer! he's going to be so much fun! i want to plant a garden with him (and natalia too) and catch frogs from the pond. he's a chatterbox now...although nothing compared to his sister. he's really made a lot of progress in a few short months. phew. we're looking into 3k or preschool for fall...again with the overwhelming "get big fast" feeling...

natalia had a checkup recently. she's a chunk...and pretty tall. she's advanced for speech and pretty much got an "a-ok" from dr. beth. she had two shots. i thought for sure her star drama-queen-antics would be displayed fully after those. but, no. she makes a liar out of me. she did cry, but recovered quite quickly. funny how i can simply look at her at home and she melts into a full out tantrum that lasts for 1/2 hour.

"YEAH DO!"

and, he's right.

natalia's newest words? "git down!" no wonder, since that's what we're constantly saying to her! "git down...off the stairs" "git down...off the chair" "git down...off the table" the list goes on.

2007 was a challenging year for us...here's to a less stressful 2008! :)

jamesonisms

jameson's vocabulary is literally exploding. thankfully! he's come up with some pretty cute stuff lately.

his favorite is, "eat a bobbbbbaaaaay" aka - eat spongebob mac n cheese. the kid lives on this stuff. little does he know there's nutrition mixed in a la acorn squash, pureed carrot or cauliflower, etc. but, we hear, "eat a bobbaaaay" at least twice per day.

the other morning i gave natalia some tylenol for teething... i may have mentioned to jim, "she might not feel well". so, later that evening, jameson and i are watching spongebob - see above - and suddenly he says, "eh-heh, eh-heh. sick. me-he-hin?" his best attempt to fake cough, tell me he's "sick" and that he needs medicine. wow, where'd that come from?

jim likes to wrestle with the kids a lot. and, he jokes that he's going to do the same with me, but he says, "jameson, i'm going to beat mommy up!" he gets a gaggle of giggles, so he keeps saying it. yesterday, without prompting, jameson says, "daddy, beat mommy up!" nice.

omg. she's one tomorrow. when the heck did that happen? she's so sassy already, she's going to send me to an early grave, you watch.

and, she's WALKING! very wobbly, but it's walking. she's also "talking"...she says "hi", "mama", "dada", "kitty", "uh-oh" (one of my favorites), "ni-ni" (night, night). today, i asked her to say, "car"...and...she did. so cute, but eeeeesh. she's going to beat her brother to oblivion with her words soon! :)
